Watch for more information and the sign up for 4G’s overnight at Adventure Rock!

Pinewood Derbies

Pinewood Derbies are a great way to give service back to Cub Scout Packs and to make Scouting fun for the younger scouts. Troop 4 runs several pinewood derbies for Packs in the area. At each in-person pinewood derby, we need 2 scouts to assist with running the computer, moving cars around, and general set-up/take-down. Scouts earn service hours for their participation at pinewood derbies.

Help Wanted - Committee Positions

Troop 4 is on the lookout for dedicated and enthusiastic adults to join our dynamic Troop Committee. If you are passionate about Scouting, have the skills for any of these roles, and are ready to make a difference in the lives of young people, we want to hear from you! Join Troop 4's Committee and contribute to the growth and success of our Scouts. To express your interest or for more information, please contact Darren Fields at darrenlfields@gmail.com. We look forward to welcoming new members to our Troop 4 committee family!

As part of our commitment to fostering a positive and supportive Scouting environment, we have the following key positions available:

  • Fundraiser Chair -- Do you have a passion for organizing events and generating support for a good cause? We're looking for a Fundraiser Chair to take charge and develop creative fundraising initiatives that will benefit Troop 4 and its members.
  • Troop Training Chair -- Are you a natural educator or have experience in training and development? Troop 4 is in search of a Training Chair to coordinate and oversee the training programs for our Scouts and adult leaders.
  • Scout Parent Unit Coordinator -- Calling all parents! We need someone to be the liaison between Troop 4 and our Scouts' families. The Scout Parent Unit Coordinator will play a vital role in communication, engagement, and building a strong Scout community.
  • Troop Public Relations Chair -- Are you a master communicator with a flair for promotion? Troop 4 is looking for a Public Relations Chair to manage our public image, promote our events, and keep the community informed about the fantastic work our Scouts are doing.
  • Troop Service Chair -- Do you have a passion for community service and making a positive impact? The Troop Service Chair will lead efforts to organize service projects, instilling a sense of civic responsibility and giving back within Troop 4.
  • Court of Honor Chair -- Do you have an eye for recognizing and celebrating the achievements of our Scouts? Troop 4 is in need of a Court of Honor Chair to organize and coordinate our recognition ceremonies, ensuring that the accomplishments of our Scouts are duly acknowledged.

Got Advancement?

Looking to have requirements signed off? Remember, it’s up to you to seek out a scout First Class or Above to test and sign off on your requirements. Once they’ve dated and initialed your advancement sheet, drop it in the box and it will get recorded in Scoutbook. Not in the box or without the initials of whoever signed it off? It doesn’t get recorded.

What about Merit Badges? Once you decide you want to work on a badge, fill out a Blue Card and take it to the Scoutmasters to sign off. They’ll also help you find merit badge counselors. Having issues contacting a counselor? Let Mr. Wagner or Mrs. Landquist know so they can help find another counselor.
