Advancement : A scout may work on advancement at any time. There are three Court of Awards per year. Typically in February, May and September. Advancement from scout thru First Class will be worked on during meetings , while advancement for star and above is the responsibility of the individual scout who can work on merit badges at summer camp or with a counselor. Merit badge counselors are assigned by the Scoutmaster. Guidance and assistance will be given by older scouts and adult leaders at anytime. The troop will award a patch vest to each scout that reaches first class, and a merit badge sash to each scout that reaches the rank of star.
The Eagle rank is the highest rank a scout can earn. When a scout reaches the Life rank, the Scoutmaster will provide the scout with a packet of information, Life To Eagle. After completing all of the required merit badges, members of the troop committee will work with the scout and parents to develop and carry out an eagle project.
