Pack 363 welcomes you to our Tiger Den site. Tigers cub are the first level to scouting and a very exciting time for these first grade boys. Tiger Scouts require that a Parent/Adult Partner attend meetings and activities with the scout. This makes the scouts and parents comfortable with the activities and helps the boys and adults who may be new to scouting gain an important understanding of scouting basics. In this Den the child and parent work together toward his first badge, the "Bobcat" badge. In order to earn this he will complete the Bobcat Trail which includes, the Cub Scout handshake, Cub Scout sign, "Law of the Pack", Cub Scout promise and the Cub Scout motto.

Once he earns Bobcat badge he will start to work on a series of indoor and outdoor requirements to achieve the Tiger Badge. The "Tiger" Badge is earned once the scout earns 5 beads in each of the "achievement" catergories: Family Activities, Den Activities, and Go See It Activities.

Once all 25 beads are earned, the scout may start to be awarded the Tiger Track Beads. These beads are earned for every ten electives the scout completes with the den or on his own. Tiger Cubs can also earn belt loops and pins for Sports and Academics achievements. A list of those requirements can be found online at www.usscouts.org under the advancements tab.

A typical meeting is about an hour long. We try to earn an instant recognition bead, elective, do a project, play a game, have a snack and be sure to have fun while teaching manners, respect and values at every meeting. Tigers are able to join in almost every Pack or District Cub Scout activity throughout the year. We do attend campouts, sporting events and monthly pack meetings in addition to our den meetings.
