New Pack 26 t-shirts available for purchase now!

We encourage all parents to take Youth Protection Training. This training is available online, at : http://www.scouting.org/Training/youthprotection.aspx

Youth protection training is required for all registered leaders, and is highly recommended for all parents. You do not need to be a registered member to take the training.

Scout Account Information:

Scout Accounts have been updated to reflect the most recent fundraisers. Check with the Pack 26 Treasurer to find out your Scout’s account balance. Scout accounts can be used for reimbursement of approved scouting expenses, such as recharter fees, outings and activities, and uniforms. Scouts must participate in at least one community service project to use the funds in their account (helping with Vernon Fire Department pancake breakfast, Scouting for Food, wrapping gifts for our “adopt-a-family,” marching in the Midnight Magic Parade, etc.) To get reimbursement for fees already paid, please present your receipt for reimbursement. You will be asked to fill out a reimbursement request, which must be approved by the Committee Chair or Cubmaster. You will then be reimbursed by check.

If you would like to use the Scout account directly for fees not yet paid, you may fill out a form to transfer funds. This must also still be approved by the Committee Chair or Cubmaster, but eliminates the need to pay, then get reimbursed. Please see the Treasurer with any questions regarding Scout accounts.

Religious Medals:

A Scout is reverent toward God. He is faithful in his religious duties and respects the convictions of others in matters of custom and religion. Scouts can earn the Religious Medal for their denomination on their own time. More information about the Religious Medals can be found here

Additional Information:

All payments (registration, activities, etc) should be made to the Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer ONLY. (Exceptions will be made for fundraisers.) This is for your protection and to better keep track of incoming and outgoing money. Receipts will be provided upon payment. Checks should be made payable to Pack 26. Payments from Scout Accounts will only be made with a receipt for an approved expense.

Parents or a designated guardian must remain in the gym with their scout for the entire pack meeting. All scouts and siblings are to remain in the North gym at all times during the pack meetings. If they need to use the restroom, a parent should escort them. PTO babysitters are available only for those attending PTO meetings.

We need your help!

As always we continue to seek and ask for volunteers to assist in various coordinating and leadership activities within our Pack. Most open positions require very little effort, some of the more critical positions requiring no more than an hour or two per week. If you are interested in a position, or simply helping out where you can, then please talk to one of the Pack leaders for information. You can also attend our monthly Pack Committee meetings. All parents are welcome and encouraged to participate!

Please let a member of the Pack Committee know how you can help.

Pack 26 cannot run without parent volunteers! As Webelos 2 Scouts move on to Boy Scouts, many take their parents with them! We have many volunteer opportunities available, including leadership roles. We also need parents to coordinate or help out with events throughout the year. No matter how much or how little time you have to donate, we can find something for you to do! Now is a good time to "job shadow" if you would like to get more information on any position. If you are interested in helping out in any way, please talk to any uniformed adult. We need your help!
