March Event RoundupMarch Pack meeting Pentathlon and Bake auction - Thanks to all who donated baked goods - I hope you all enjoyed the event. A special thanks to our auctioneer Jack Sili. Food for Scouting Thanks to the parents and the following scouts who supported this worthy service to community effort - Aric Bohn, Bret Langbauer, Erik Gerum, Nick Gerum, Shane Olson, Aleks Tess, (and special thanks to Mickey Tess for setting up the Food Pantry event, and Life Scout Kyle Gerum for help putting out the bags). If you can think of how to make this event better please let me know. Volunteer Help Needed! We are still in need for the following position: Assistant Cubmaster(s) This position is a unique position because the volunteer can participate and get involved as much as he/she is able to. Estimate 2-3 hours/month. Webelos to Scout transition After earning the Arrow of Light award, Webelos can then begin to transfer to a scout troop of their choice. “Joining” a troop early has a significant benefit – which is to be prepared to participate in Scout Summer camp. If there are any questions on what scout troops are in our area, I would be happy to assist. Troop visits can be made to get an idea of who is in the troop and the troop websites can be looked at to see what the troop is “advertising” – see http://www.pacunits.org/ for area troop websites. Additionally, the Webelos Jamboree, which is usually held in September, is a great event to meet some of the troops in the Council. Friends of Scouting At the Blue and Gold dinner we will have our Unit Commissioner Mary Pace present the Friends of scouting Campaign. For those that have not yet donated, please find a place for scouting in your donation strategy - thanks. |
