Our Scouting History

Troop 151 is a close knit group of Scouts. We strongly encourage parental and entire family support in all of our activities.

Troop 151 is Germantown's oldest Scout Troop. It started out as Troop 54, Badger Council in 1948. In 1962 the troop was realigned with the Potawatomi Council and was renamed Troop 151, Potawatomi Council. Troop 151 has been in constant existence since 1948 except for a short period after 1980. In 1982 the Troop was started up again and has been going since. Troop 151 is also honored to be the troop with the first Eagle Scout.

For the size of our Troop we have achieved a high rate of Scouts who advance to the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank that can be achieved by a Boy Scout. Reaching the rank of Eagle has many benefits to a Scout. Besides the high feeling of accomplishment by achieving the rank of Eagle, Scouts can also take advantage of scholarships and future career benefits.
